Opening Hours

Park Güell, the brilliance of Gaudí is open to the public throughout the year, attracting people from all over the world. However, depending on the peak and off-peak travel seasons, its opening hours change.

Peak season: May 1st to October 30th
Off-peak season: 31st October to April 30th

Below are the opening hours:
From 1st July to 31st August:
9 AM to 7:30 PM
From 1st September to 29th October: 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM
30th October 2022 to 31st December 2022: 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM
1st January to 28th March: 9:30 AM to 6:15 PM
29th March to 31st May: 9 AM to 8 PM

The residents of Barcelona and Gaudí Me’s members have free entry to the park, and tourists are prohibited to enter during the following hours:

Bon Dia Barcelona: From 7 AM to 9 AM
Bon Vespre Barcelona: From 8 PM to 10 PM

In terms of the best time to visit Park Güell, the ideal would be to go there in the morning, between noon and two o’clock, or at sunset because of the less crowd. It’s up to you to see according to your wish and desire, but the park can be visited throughout the day without problems!

Time to enter and leave

Gaudi’s fascinating interior of Park Guell is one that is on everyone’s watch list. Enjoy exploring the famous park which provides amazing views over the city of Barcelona. Since it’s a center of attraction, not only the tourists but also the locals wish to relax there. So it’s better to purchase your ticket beforehand. It will surely save you from unnecessary disturbance.

Once the ticket is purchased, you just need to make sure to enter the Park within 30 minutes of your designated slot. After 30 minutes it can not be validated.

Also note, once the ticket has been validated then you cannot leave the park and reenter with the same ticket.

But there’s some good news for you! You can stay in the park as much as you want. No time restriction! You can spend your hours roaming around the park and get fascinated by the unimaginable talent of Antoni Gaudi.

Best Time to Visit

Without a doubt, Barcelona’s climate changes are nature’s gift. For holidays it’s a great place to spend a relaxing time. Enjoy the countless birds singing hidden in dark pine trees and palm alleys as you escape the rush and bustle of the city. If you are fond of pleasant weather then plan your trip for late March to April or late September to October.

But if you are looking for a less crowdy place then plan your visit during winter. October to March, the low peak season! During this, you can easily stroll around the city, explore hidden corners, and mesmerize yourself with nature without dealing with crowds.

Since the Park is busiest on the weekends, weekdays are the perfect time to visit.To best appreciate your visit and take photos without too many people, prefer weekdays rather than weekends. The best time to visit Park Guell is between 9:30 to 11:00 in the morning or at the end of the day. The panorama over Barcelona is sensational at sunset.
